  • Marvin Armstrong

    Marvin Armstrong is a founding member of Clay Hand Studios and an avid sculptor working in clay and wood. He is very involved in the Fresno Art Community, serving as President of Clay Hand Studios, Fig Tree Gallery, and the San Joaquin Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. He is at Clay Hand Studios most Saturdays, 10 - 4.

  • Ren Lee

    Ren Lee is a clay sculptor and handbuilder. She teaches the Handbuilding Class Sundays 10am - 4pm. She is an active member of San Joaquin Clay & Glass Association, Association of Clay & Glass Artists of California, and Yosemite Sierra Artists.She is often in the studio Tuesday - Saturday, 10 - 4.  @renleestudio (IG/FB).

  • Jeanie Keyser

    Jeanie Keyser has been working with clay for more than 25 years, creating a wide range of ceramic work that reflects both her skill and playful spirit. A member of Clay Hand Studios for over 13 years, Jeanie explores many facets of clay, from Horse Hair Raku to functional pottery and the occasional funky piece inspired by her mood. She works with both wheel-thrown and hand-built forms, allowing her creativity to flow in multiple directions.

    Jeanie can often be found in the Fresno CHS studio on Wednesday, (10am - 4pm) and other days, shaping, experimenting, and refining her craft among her community of fellow artists.

  • Megann Zabel

    Megan Zabel has a thing for dolls and small, even tiny, objets d’art. She has mad skills that usually involve head gear with magnification lenses.

  • Michael Mayer

    Michael Mayer learned to throw pots back in the day at Fresno State University working with Jim Shepard, building kilns and throwing big. These days he is can be found doing rad things to cylinders and other shapes, playing with glaze chemistry, and firing in barrels. Mike is at Clay Hand Studios most Thursdays, 10 - 4. @michaelmayerclay

  • Jason Haskins

    Jason Haskins studied ceramics in college and teaches wheel throwing classes at Clay Hand Studios Tuesday even and Friday evening, 5 - 8pm.

  • Barbie Savage

    Barbie Savage is a ceramic artist specializing in advanced wheel throwing. She has been working in ceramics since 2004 with a BFA in ceramics from San Francisco State University.  She teaches advanced wheel throwing on Wednesdays 5pm-8pm at Clay Hand Studios. She works in her private studio in north Fresno and can be reached through Instagram @barbiesavagearts or her website barbiesavage.com. Barbie is a member of the SJCGA as well as the ACGA. Barbie specializes in custom and commissioned ceramics from her national and international clients.

  • David Roberts

    David Roberts teaches Handbuilding on Monday evenings, 5 - 8pm
